Caerwynne

The capital city of the Imperial Parturition of Frey

Caerwynne (The white fort) is a vast and intricately layered city where the rural, the practical, the arcane, and the divine converge in a breathtaking vista. The rural serenity, middle-class bustle, noble surrealism, and imperial austerity create a dynamic thriving expanse. Sprawling from its fertile outer farmlands to a magical inner sanctum, Caerwynne is both the heart of the empire’s power and a living symbol of its wealth, culture, and ambition.

Caerwynne Outskirts Surrounding Caerwynne are rich agricultural lands: golden grain fields, orchards, vineyards, and livestock farms. These support both the city and its vibrant trade. Villages of artisans and tradespeople form a ring of industrious life, blending rural charm with economic activity.

(Outer Districts) Closer to the city walls, the outer neighborhoods grow denser, home to skilled craftspeople and bustling markets. Buildings of brick and wood maintain a modest charm, interspersed with green courtyards and workshops. The atmosphere is functional yet vibrant.

(Mid-City Ring) The urban density increases here, with narrow streets, townhouses, inns, and middle-class homes. Decorative balconies, gardens, and plazas bring beauty to this residential hub. Minor nobility and bureaucrats reside here, with public life defined by commerce and community.

Caerwynne Inner Walls Caerwynne’s inner walls are immense, veined with silver, copper, and gold. Statues of androgynous angelic guardians, the Sentinels, line the battlements, holding swords, lanterns, and shields. More than decoration, they function as defense towers, lighthouses, and cargo lifts.

Caerwynne Harbour District Set within a steep amphitheater-like basin, the harbor buzzes with trade and transport. Blending industrial function with elegance, it's alive with ship traffic, warehouses, and ceremonial naval stations. At night, lanterns and arcane symbols bathe the harbor in magical light.

Caerwynne Ring Noblese Encircling the Imperial Castle, these impossibly tall, enchanted mansions float above the city, displaying unimaginable wealth and arcane mastery. Spires, hovering gardens, and suspended museums define this elite district. Architecture here blends illusion, magic, and beauty into surreal works of art. Ground entrances are rare, guests arrive by air in hovering carriages.

Caerwynne Castle At Caerwynne’s heart lies the Imperialis Keep, a monumental castle marked by elegance and restraint, surrounded by four iconic towers: Dusk Spire (Royal Court & Obsidian Council), Eternis Tower (Mages of the Infinite Sigil), Crescent Tower (Empire's Intelligence & Guard) and Luminal Spire (Imperial Pantheon of the Gods). The castle grounds are filled with magical, ever-shifting gardens. At their heart, three ancient, massive trees are said to be tied to the heart of the Empire.
